Whatever the case, 16-year-old American Idol contestant Symone Black took a scary-looking fall off the front of the stage on Wednesday’s night show, Fox offered no update on her condition, instead using the accident as a cliffhanger for Thursday’s program.
“Medic, please!” stagehands cried out, as Black lay crumpled on the floor, having tumbled off the stage, which looked to be a good 5 feet high, after apparently passing out.
Black’s father was among those who rushed to her aid. At least one person tending to the California teen – who came to Hollywood via the San Diego auditions – said she hit her head, though that was not confirmed.
Fox used the accident to tease Thursday night’s show, promising an update on Black’s injuries as Hollywood Week continues.
